• Hey there!

I’m Tomas Altamirano, your lead therapist and founder of UQC.

I identify as agender and use they/them pronouns.

I was born and raised in Fort Worth, TX and I grew up in a Mexican household.

I went to school at Texas Woman’s University and UNT where I gained both of my degrees in social work.

My Approach

My Approach

You can expect my therapy style to be laid-back but I’m also not afraid to push people when I notice they’re getting in their own way.

I tend to view things from an empowering perspective, and it’s my hope we can work together to find solutions that are satisfying and meaningful.

Outside of therapy, I’m an avid jack of trades and am constantly working on my next project.

Whether it’s woodworking, metalwork, blacksmithing, mechanics, martial arts, or even jewelry making; I’ve done a little bit of everything!

This part of my active lifestyle is integral to my own mental wellbeing, so hopefully I can share some insight into what you can work on outside of our therapy sessions.
